It came down to the wire on Thursday at T. L. Hanna High School, as T.L. Hanna Varsity Yellow Jackets grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 3-2, over Indian Land Varsity Warriors. The game was tied at two in the bottom of the ninth when Cesar Ochoa singled, scoring one run.
The pitching was strong on both sides. T.L. Hanna Varsity Yellow Jackets pitchers struck out 11, while Indian Land Varsity Warriors sat down 10.
A single by Emerson Rhodes put Indian Land Varsity Warriors on the board in the top of the ninth.
T.L. Hanna Varsity Yellow Jackets took the lead in the bottom of the ninth inning after Sam West hit a sacrifice fly, Phifer Glenn singled to center field, and Ochoa singled to center field, each scoring one run.
