WATERS AND LYDA PLACE 2ND AND 3RD AT UNIFIED TRACK STATE CHAMPIONSHIP

Charleigh Waters and Erin Lyda placed 2nd and 3rd in the first ever race run under the Unified Track and Field banner at the State Championships for track and field. Unified Track and Field is a sport that allows students of differing abilities to compete with their school peers in athletic competition against other schools that offer the program.

The team finished 2nd place at the Upper State championship two weeks ago with an outstanding performance. Lyda and Waters had times that placed high enough to earn the opportunity to compete against the other top finishers in the lowcountry and midlands unified qualifying meets.
