THOMAS AND MANNING'S BIG NIGHT LIFTS JACKET BASEBALL TO DISTRICT FINAL

T.L. Hanna Varsity Yellow Jackets won big over EHS Eagles 11-2 on Monday.

EHS Eagles got on the board in the first inning after Anson Reynolds singled, scoring one run.

T.L. Hanna Varsity Yellow Jackets flipped the game on its head in the top of the third, scoring five runs on four hits to take the lead, 5-1. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Tatum Manning that drove in two.

Four more T.L. Hanna Varsity Yellow Jackets runs crossed the plate in the sixth inning to extend the lead to 11-2. Jackson Robinson homered to right field, scoring two runs, Drew Veronneau induced Carson Bolt to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, and Veronneau induced Easton Thomas to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

Reece Oakley earned the win for T.L. Hanna Varsity Yellow Jackets. The right-handed pitcher surrendered three hits and two runs (one earned) over four innings, striking out three and walking three. Andrew Brandt took the loss for EHS Eagles. The right-handed pitcher went two and two-thirds innings, giving up five runs on five hits, striking out five and walking four. Jackson Driver and Connor Brooks each came on in relief for T.L. Hanna Varsity Yellow Jackets and shutdown EHS Eagles.

T.L. Hanna Varsity Yellow Jackets collected 10 hits in the game. Thomas, the number eight hitter for T.L. Hanna Varsity Yellow Jackets, led the way with four runs batted in. The switch hitter went 2-for-4 on the day. Thomas, Cesar Ochoa, and Manning each collected two hits for T.L. Hanna Varsity Yellow Jackets. T.L. Hanna Varsity Yellow Jackets had a strong eye at the plate, piling up nine walks for the game. Robinson, Sam West, and Manning led the team with two free passes each. T.L. Hanna Varsity Yellow Jackets stole five bases in the game. T.L. Hanna Varsity Yellow Jackets were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Bolt had the most chances in the field with nine.

Reynolds, Peyton Schrader, Nolen Oglesby, and Lawson Shirley each collected one hit for EHS Eagles. Reynolds and Stone Howard each drove in one run for EHS Eagles.
