The TL Hanna Track and Field team opened the season with a successful meet at the Pendleton Bulldog Invitational.
Senior Nate Malcolm came out of the gates hot after his state championship junior season in the shot put. To open 2026, he cleared the 65 foot mark in the shot, breaking his own school record and winning the event by a large margin.
Wren Kirby turned in an outstanding race to take hope the title in the 1600M girls event.
Junior AJ Heaton and freshman Elle Bailey both claimed double titles in the hurdles. Bailey's time in the high hurdles moved her into 3rd place all time in the TL Hanna record books.
Elizabeth Motes won her first championship in pole vault for the Yellow Jackets as she claimed first place in the Pendleton Invitational.
