The TL Hanna athletic department would like to say thank you to cheer head coach Kelly Jones and assistant coach Patrice Lineberger on their years of service to TLH Cheer. Both will be stepping away from coaching for family interests after region championships and the highest state finish in school history.
Jones came to TL Hanna in the 2013-14 school year and served as head coach for 13 years. During that time, the program achieved high levels of success, winning 10 region championships, claiming the school's only Upper State Championship title in 2017, and placing in the top 10 in the state championship meet 6 times. Her 2024 team earned the highest finish in school history in competitive cheer with a 4th place showing at the State Championships.
Coach Lineberger came to TL Hanna in 2016-17 after a successful career as a head coach and helped raise the level of the program as an assistant under Coach Jones. She was a part of the coaching staff for 8 region championship teams and the highly successful 2017 and 2024 teams.
TL Hanna Cheer will miss these two coaches greatly, but looks forward to them becoming two of the biggest fans for the TL Hanna program for years to come.
