COLE AND MILES WIN TITLES TO HIGHLIGHT JACKET WRESTLING AT UPPER STATE QUALIFIER

TL Hanna Varsity Wrestling continued their great season with a strong showing at the Upper State Individual Tournament. The Jackets qualified 5 individuals to the state meet.

Senior Logan Alf continued his season by placing 6th at Upper State and advancing to the State Championship for the 1st time. Alf used a couple of pins on Saturday to earn his way to state after losing to the eventual champ in his weight Saturday morning.

Jimmarion Boston punched his ticket to the state championship in Florence next week with a 5th place finish at Upper State. Boston, who has more than 100 career wins, will compete at state for the first time in his career.

Jackson Scanlon turned in a solid day placing 3rd in a tough weight at Upper State to qualify for the state championships in Florence for the 2nd time in his career. Scanlon was dominant after an overtime loss Saturday morning to earn 3rd with 4 straight wins.

TLH senior Kavon Cole turned in an outstanding day to win the individual championship at the 5A Upper State meet. Cole is just the 3rd individual wrestler to win Upper State and advances to the state championship next week in Florence for the 1st time in his career.

TLH senior Malachi Miles turned in a great day to win the individual championship at the 5A Upper State meet. Miles is just the 4th individual wrestler to win Upper State and advances to the state championship next week in Florence for the 1st time in his career. On his way to his Upper State individual championship today, Malachi Miles reached 100 career wins at the varsity level.

The State Championships will be held at the Florence Civic Center on February 20th and 21st.
