The awards keep rolling in for TL Hanna girls golf coach Gabby Kitts. After leading TL Hanna to back to back state championships the last two Octobers, she was named Region Coach of the Year in 2024 and 2025 by her peers and was named the Statewide Girls Golf Coach of the Year by the SC Golf Coaches Association.
On Thursday, December 11th, Kitts was informed that she had been named the Girls Golf Coach of the Year for Section 3 by the National Federation of High Schools Coaches Association. Section 3 is comprised of the 8 southeastern states from Florida to Louisiana.
Coach Kitts Thoughts: “I first want to thank principal Walter Mayfield and the Anderson Five school district for being so supportive of girls athletics. We have had an amazing group of girls who golf at an extremely high level and our district has always stepped up to help our girls program be successful. I want to thank assistant coach Eli Roland for all of his help. I also want to thank the girls in our program, because their success on the course is what puts me in position to receive this recognition. Awards like this are just another testament to the outstanding job they do representing TL Hanna High School. And finally, I would like to thank my family for the support they offer during a long season that takes many hours away from home. I am blessed with amazing parents, husband, and children.”
