TL Hanna dropped their state championship match against West Florence by a score of 4-2. The Jackets found themselves down 3-0 after losses at 1 singles, 2, singles, and 2 doubles. Meri Drake Venturella picked up a straight set win at 4 singles and Josie Eskridge followed moments later with a 10-5 third set tiebreaker win at 3 singles to make the score 3-2.
All attention then turned to Lauren Yaekoub at 5 singles. Lauren fought hard tying her second set at 3, 4, 5, and 6 games apiece before falling 7-3 in a second set tiebreaker.
