The SC Wrestling Coaches Association announced the coaches for the 2026 Best Western Ocean Sands North/South All Star match and TL Hanna head coach Lance Abernathy was named as a coach for the event. The event will take place in February of 2026 at North Myrtle Beach High School.
Abernathy, who led TL Hanna their first and only region wrestling championship in 2023, was previously selected for this honor almost 20 years ago when he was the head coach at Chesterfield High School. At that time, Abernathy had led the Chesterfield program to numerous state championships on the mat.
