The TL Hanna girls golf teams won their 5th region championship in a row with a dominating performance at The Club at Brookstone. TL Hanna fired a 310 team score to best second place Mauldin by 55 shots.
Senior Marissa Scaletta turned in a 3 under par round of 68 to win the individual medalist honors. Her first place performance earned her the Golfer of the Year award in Region 1. This all region honor was the second consecutive win for Marissa and her 6th overall all region finish. It is believed that this is the first golfer at TL Hanna to earn all region status for all 6 years of her competitive career.
Junior Serra Erlenkeuser continued her outstanding play with a scond place individual finish. Serra earned all region honors for the 4th time in her career. Sophomore Sierra Schulze rounded out the all region performances for the Jackets with her 4th place individual finish. This was Schulze's 3rd career all region finish.
Head Coach Gabby Kitts wrapped up the final award of the day when she was voted as the Region Coach of the Year by the other region girls golf coaches.
Hanna Erlenkeuser (88) and Hayden Bell (94) played well with their 11th and 15th place individual finishes, just missing all region honors.
